If your child will be absent from any ALEOOOP program for any reason, please text 201-249-1069 (the ALEOOOP Directors).
ALEOOOP SUMMER PROGRAM
2024 ALEOOOP will run from July 1st – July 12th (closed 4th) and July 15th – July 26th for Allendale kids entering grade K-8 in the fall of 2024. ALEOOOP and all music/theater programs are all closed on Thursday , July 4th.
Multiple sections sold out the last few years, please register early to ensure a spot.
- Registration process:
- We will send out an application form google doc to everyone on the mailing list.
- Spots will be filled based on those time stamped applications, and registration forms and Paypal invoices will be sent for those applications ONLY.
- All other applicants will be placed on a waitlist based on the timestamp, and will be offered any spots that become available accordingly.
- NO REFUNDS will be processed after April 15th.
- We cannot refund any attendees due to COVID19 or any other illness or reasons.
Summer Musical : July 1 -25th for kids entering 4th grade through 8th grade. Rehearsals are every afternoon from 1:30pm – 4.00pm and students MUST commit to all 4 weeks.
Instrument Lessons are available from July 2nd- July 11th, and July 15th – July 25th – you can sign up for 2 weeks or 4 weeks, and you can sign up for lessons in multiple instruments. Specific lesson times will be scheduled with the instructor, and will be finalized before the program starts. There are no lessons on Fridays.

The ALEOOOP Summer Program is coordinated and directed by certified, experienced school teachers who love what they do – and it shows. They’ve created a program of engaging age-appropriate activities that make this an enjoyable, enriching summer experience. Each age group is supervised by a team consisting of a trained head counselor and assistant counselors (counselor to child ratio is based on age group). A certified registered nurse is on duty every day.
JUNIOR ALEOOOPers
Entering grades
K-3 in the fall
ALEOOOP provides a safe and supervised environment while allowing children the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy their summer experience. Age-appropriate activities include art, gym, swimming, creative expressions and nature.
SENIOR ALEOOOPers
Entering grades
4-8 in the fall
Activities are specifically designed for these older children In addition to daily activities, these older children also have:
Weekly electives – are special courses offered on Friday mornings. Elective selections will be offered before the start of the summer program.
Once per session – children go on local off-site field trips. In past years they have gone bowling, to see a movie, rock climbing, and to an indoor trampoline facility. The cost for all activities and transportation is included in the registration fee.
SWIMMING
Fun, Cool and Safe. Once a day all children either participate in group swims or play on the beach. Certified lifeguards, in addition to ALEOOOP counselors and senior staff, monitor the children.
FUN FRIDAYS
Friday afternoon is the time to enjoy special activities and visitors. One of the biggest highlights every year is the fun-filled Olympics with relay races and more. On the last day, everyone joins in the excitement as they compete in the final Olympic events, with pizza and a DJ!
MUSIC AND THEATER
ALEOOOP is pleased to offer musical instrument lessons and a musical theater program. Each of these can be taken on their own, or in addition to ALEOOOP. Children in the music and theater program may not linger within the school before, after or in between their lessons. If your child is attending ALEOOOP they will be brought to their lessons.
- Theater July 1 – July 25th
1:30pm – 4.00pm - Instrument Lessons July 2 –11 and July 15-25. Lesson time will be scheduled with you by the instructor.
ALEOOOP is a non-profit, quasi-municipal entity overseen by a volunteer board and has been serving Allendale for since 1995.
